tThe School of Health Technology, Akure, formerly known as School of Hygiene, the College of Health Technology was established in 1920 by Dr. I. Oladipo Oluwole, the first Nigerian Medical Officer of Health.  At its inception, the school in response to the prevailing health situation and available indigenous health human resources, offered courses for the following categories of Health Workers.
