Hon Madaki attended Government Secondary School Gwammaja, Kano where he obtained the West African Senior Certificate (WAEC) in 1984. He proceeded to Kano State Polytechnic where he obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in 1987. During his time at the Kano State Polytechnic, he was the President of the Student Union Government (SUG). He attended the Federal Polytechnic Mubi where he studied accounting and graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in 1987. He also served as a Secretary of the Student Union Government (SUG). In 2015, he obtained an MBA from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

Hon Madaki worked as an accountant with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Abuja from 1991 to 2001. He was also a Senior Accountant at the Federal Ministry of Finance from 2001 to 2002. Between 2002 and 2006, he was the Assistant Chief of Accountant at the Federal Ministry of Power and Steel. From 2007 to 2011 he was the Managing Director of Madakin Gini Consults.

In 2011, Hon Madaki contested and won the seat to represent Dala Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. From 2011 to 2015, he served in the following House committees; Housing, Appropriations, Legislative Budget & Research (Vice Chairman), Health Institutions, Foreign Affairs, and Banking & Currency.

He was re-elected in 2015 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His legislative interests include; Appropriation, Finance & Accounts, Foreign Affairs, Health, Housing & Habitats, Marine, and Police Affairs.
