Peter Onwuzurike Onyehidelam (popularly known as Dede One Day) was a famous Nollywood comic actor, master of ceremony, television personality, comedian, entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Born and raised in Aba, Abia State, Dede One Day hailed from Umuagwuru Mbieri, a small village in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State, Nigeria. He also completed his primary and secondary school education in Aba.
Dede One Day started his career as a stand-up comedian and master of ceremony (MC). He rose to fame after releasing his comedy audio series “Laugh With Me” a comedy talk show which is very hilarious and causes comic relief. After the success of his comedy audio series, he joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and took part in his first comedy movie “Joseph the Dreamer” alongside with Odera Nwobu. The success of the movie welcomed him to Nollywood with open arms and earned him a nomination for Best Comic Act to Watch at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Dede One Day featured in several Nigerian movies, some of which include Keke Soldiers, Iron Pant, Mortuary Attendant, Corporate Beggars, My Classmate, Professional Beggars, Village Musicians, Senior Officer, Joseph Oro Nro, Village Lawyer, Shoe Shiner, Our August Meeting, and Ebola Doctor. He reguarly starred in comedy movies alongside with Odera Nwobu, late Sam Loco Efe, John Okafor, Charles Inojie, Charles Awurum, Victor Ozuagwu, Nkem Owoh and Chiwe Ntaluagu.
Dede One Day died in December 14th, 2015 after he slumped while performing at an event in Aba, following complications from high blood pressure. Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Imo State chapter on February 12th, 2016 held a candle night procession in honour of late comedian-turned-actor, whose remains would be laid to rest today at his country home, Umuduruori Umuarusilam Umuagwuru Mbieri, Imo State. The candle night procession held at Freedom Square in Owerri.
Survived by wife and children, Dede One Day was one of the richest and most influential comic actors in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $400,000.
Dede One Day won several awards which include Best Comic Act to Watch at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Actor in Comedy at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Best Comedian in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.
