Moji Olaiya was born on February 27th, 1975 to Dr Victor Olaiya, a Nigerian trumpeter from Ijesha Isu in Ikole local government area of Ekiti state, Nigeria. She was popular for her roles in Yoruba movies.

Moji Olaiya Early Life

Moji grew up in a home that was well to do. In the year 2015, Moji lost her younger brother, and in April 2017, another brother of hers survived an accident just by the skin of his teeth.

Moji Olaiya Career

Moji started her acting career with Wale Adenuga’s major production Super Story. The soap opera became so popular that everyone who played a major role was regarded as a superstar. She also took up both English and Yoruba roles in Nollywood movies. She was admired for her roles in films such as No Pains No Gains, where she played Ireti, Sade Blade (2005), Nkan adun (2008) and Omo Iya meta Leyi (2009). She also starred in the Agunbaniro.

Moji released a film, Iya Okomi, in 2016 starring Foluke Daramola and Funsho Adeolu, which premiered in Lagos on July. She had a couple of projects ongoing before her demise in May 2017.

Moji Olaiya Personal Life

The late Moji Olaiya got married to Bayo Okesola in 2007 and eventually separated. She gave up Christianity and accepted to be a Muslim in 2014.

Unfortunately, Moji Olaiya died on May 17th, 2017, from cardiac arrest in Canada, two months after having her second child. She was finally laid to rest on June 7th, 2017, according to Islamic rites. She had two children, Adunoluwa Farombi and Maryam Odutola.
