She attended St Leo's Catholic Primary School, Ikeja, Lagos, Federal Government Girls College Lagos, completing her secondary education at Tender Touch College, Festac in Lagos.

Her debut on the screen was as a contestant on the reality show for actors, Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) in 2005. She went on to star in her first movie, 'Calabar Girl' where she played a supporting role and then as Daisy in the movie 'Heaven's Gate', Ajuma in 'US', Betty in the popular Nigerian soap opera 'Spider' and Susan on 'Tinsel' among others. Since her debut in the movie scene, Alex has starred in over 17 movies and Television series like; Freedom Bank, Trinity, Destiny, State Of The Heart, Hero’s Bride, Waiting Years, The Guide And Cajole

Apart from acting, she writes Public Service Announcement (PSA) and jingles for Radio and Television, Scripts for TV Commercials, Documentaries, and Screenplays for Movies, Songs, Editorials, Poetry and White papers.

She was the host for the segment 'Fitness at Your Finger Tips' in 2008 and the presenter on the program 'Mega Vision' on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in the same year and the author of the self-help books, The Naked Truth: Lies Stripped, Stripped Down Success For Creatives and her anthology in which she illustrates her own journey to self-love and fulfillment “I BARED MY CHEST; 21 Unstoppable Women Get NAKED ….”
