Adejumoke Aderounmu was born in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria, on March 26th, 1987. She is a Nigerian actress, content producer and TV host.

The second child of four children, Jumoke grew up in Abeokuta where she had her primary and secondary education at St. Bernadette Private School and Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, respectively, before moving over to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun state where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations in 2008. She thereafter, had her National Youth Service in Gombe state. In 2017, she became a certified in Film Making and Acting from La Cinefabrique in Lyon, France.  

In 2010, she left acting to study a course in television production and presentation at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School. Subsequently, she got a job with Goldmyne Entertainment, as a producer and presenter.  In 2012, she also joined Concert Radio. Jumoke returned to acting in December 2015, when veteran actress Funke Akindele-Bello, invited her to audition for the role of Esther in Jenifa's Diary. 

She has worked with notable actors like Funke Akindele, Bimbo Akintola, Francis Duru, Antar Laniyan, Yomi Fash-Lanso and featured in movies like ‘Patriots’, ‘The Return of One More man’, ‘Okunfa’, ‘Amiwo’, ‘Awa Obinrin, ‘Awa Okunrin’, ‘Ka Sise bi Eru’. 

The small statured actress has lamented the hindrance this has posed to her career. According to her, "I am small in stature and because of that, I don’t get as much jobs as I ought to.


Aderounmu Adejumoke Career

Jumoke became interested in acting after she took an elective course at the Institute of Cultural Studies, OAU, in her first year. She met a lecturer who told her of her hidden skills. Later on, she visited Lagos and her visit coincided with an audition by Tunde Kelani. After much challenges, he eventually sent her a script and a few months later, she got a role in Arugba where she played Princess Mobandele, giving her a first major feature.

Jumoke is yet to be married. She however dreams of doing so someday. "I have plans to get married and he has to be a God-fearing person. I usually do not like to discuss issues like this but when I see a man that possesses the qualities I want in a husband, I would know."

Her role models in the movie industry include; Funke Akindele-Bello, Tunde Kelani, Kunle Afolayan, Joke Silva, and Olu Jacobs. She relaxes by sleeping, watching a lot of television and also reading.
