Temitayo grew up in Lagos where she studied at Government College, Ikorodu for her secondary education, before proceeding to acquire an Ordinary National Diploma at Yaba College of Technology in Accounting and finally studied Banking and Finance at Lagos State University.

She has featured in many movies like; "Amisu", "ldajo Aiye", "Ojo Idunnu" and also produced movies like; "Anike Onidoti", "Ipinlese", "Shakyra", "Olosha" and "Eku Meji" to mention but a few. The movie, "Olosha" was nominated for the Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Award 2015. As an entrepreneur, she is a host of the show, Homemade wirh Tayo.

Tope reavealed in April 2018, that she was going through health challenges. In an Instagram post, she wrote, "“Hello beautiful people firstly, I sincerely apologize to all my fans out there. I’m sorry for going off for such a long period of time without notice, at that point I needed the break because there were so many distractions. I was stressed and it had started affecting my health. It was a sabbatical that was needed for my total wellbeing. Thanks to everyone that reached out to me, I sincerely appreciate your calls, messages n prayers. Thanks for being so wonderful love u all.” She is a food enthusiast and a celebrity cook.
