Caroline Uduak Abasi Ekanem (known as Caroline Danjuma) was born on June 26th, 1980 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, as the first of three children of a Scottish father and a Nigerian mother. She is an actress and model.

Caroline grew up with her siblings, Tunde Raphael Afolabi and Abiodun Solomon Afolabi. She studied Environmental Protection Management, Geography, and Regional Planning at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Calabar, Cross River state.

Caroline Danjuma got into the Nollywood industry in 2004. She was introduced to the ace movie director, Chico Ejiro by veteran actress, Rita Dominic who then cast her in the 2004 movie Deadly Care. This became the beginning of a blossoming career as she later starred in Missing Angel (2004), The Captor (2006), Foreign Affairs, Real Love, The Twist, A Second Time and The Beast and The Angel. After a break from the movie scene, due to marriage, she came back in to star in Stalker which had Jim Iyke and Nse Ikpe Etim as co-stars.

The beautiful actress was involved in a brief romantic relationship with music icon, 2face Idibia at the early stage of her movie career. However, in 2007, she got married to a billionaire, Musa Danjuma. The marriage which produced three children (2 sons and a daughter) led to her taking a break from acting. The couple separated in September 2016 after irreconcilable differences emerged.

In 2017, Caroline revealed that she dated the late Tagbo, a member of hip hop singer, Davido’s crew.  In an interview with a popular blog, she maintained that she accused Davido of dumping Tagbo’s body at a general hospital, after he allegedly died in his (Davido’s) car.

Caroline adopted a new child in 2018. She revealed on her Instagram page that the child is a blessing and she's completely in love. The new mother also shared the gender of the baby (a girl) and expressed her joy in becoming a new parent.
