She grew up in Lagos and the US. She attended primary education at Chrisland School, Ikeja, Lagos, and secondary school at Bells Secondary School in Ota. After this, she returned to the US where she accounting at the University of Kentucky. She relocated to Nigeria in November 2013.

According to the ravishing mother of two, “Entertainment has always been part of me. Even when I was young, I would stand in the front of a mirror, acting out the fashion part of me. I never wanted to be a lawyer or anything. God blessed me with a lot of talents.” She also revealed how her father inspired her to study Accounting. She described her father as Lagos-based successful businessman . Her mother on the other hand had a different opinion but she didn’t kick against her ambition in show business. “My father supports me 100 per cent. My mum is very proud of me. Americans don’t care about this kind of thing. They support their children in whatever they choose to do. So, I have no problem building a dream in the entertainment industry. The fact is that I have never been a copycat. I am not looking for the fastest way to limelight. Rather, I want to express myself. My ambition is to be recognized worldwide. But I want to be known for what I have done. I want to be successful through hard work,” she said.

When in America, Ade dabbled in modeling and made it as far as “America’s Next Top Model”. She also worked in the housing and insurance sectors in the United States before switching to the entertainment industry.

 After moving back to Nigeria, she landed her first Nollywood role when she acted in the Yoruba language film ""Iwo tabi emi "  in 2013 by Saheed Balogun.. She has also featured in several other Nollywood movies of both English and Yoruba languages, including some music videos for Sound Sultan and Ice Prince. In 2017, She became the brand ambassador for OUD Majestic.

Speaking about the personal life of this beautiful actress, Ade was married to Michael Boyd from 2004 until their divorce in 2012. She has two great and handsome sons from the relationship; Ayden Young, and D’marion Young. The oldest one is nine years old, and the youngest is five years old.  

The mother of two said she was surprised to be tagged as ”runs girl”simply because she was single for a long time. People were wondering how i managed to take care of my family as a single mother of two kids. According to her, instead of being a run’s girl, she was doing two full-time jobs while abroad. She said:
”I heard I was a runs girl, but I am not a runs girl. I did two full-time jobs while I was abroad. And when I came to Nigeria, I know how much I came with, and in dollars. The term runs girl means I sleep around to take care of my kids and I didn’t do all that.”

The actress does not use lotion on her body. "I don't even use lotion because it is too hot in Nigeria and heat and I do not mix," she said during an interview. She and Demi Lovato are both stars who have been open about their mental health struggles.
