Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. (popularly called Ramsey Nouah), was born in Edo State, NIgeria on December 19th, 1970. He is a Nigerian actor.

Ramsey Nouah Early Life

Born into an interracial home comprising a father from Israel and a Yoruba mother from Owo, Ondo State, he spent his early days in Surulere, Lagos. He attended Atara Primary School and Community School, Surulere, Lagos.  He thereafter attended the University of Lagos (UNILAG), where he obtained a diploma in mass communications. After his UNILAG sojourn, he began pursuing a career in acting and film production.

Known for his unique ascent in the Nollywood industry, Nouah began his acting career at the age of 23. His first appearance was in the Nigerian TV soap opera, Fortunes, between 1993 and 1994. Popularly called the Lover Boi for his numerous romantic roles, he has starred in over 100 Nollywood films. 

Some of the most popular of these include Fugitive (2000), The Battle of Love (2001), Power of Love (2002), My Love (2002), Supa Love (2003), True Love (2003), Dangerous Twins (2004) and Chase (2008).

In 2005, Actors’ Guild of Nigeria placed a one year ban on Ramsey Nouah, Pete Edochie and four others from filming after they were said to have been collecting huge fees from producers due to their A-list celebrity status.

The very handsome Ramsey Nouah is considered to be one of the most sought after actors in Nigeria. In 2002, he got married to Emelia Philips-Nouah, and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter - Quincy, Camil and Desire. He runs a production house called Ramsey Films, and as a person his estimated worth is $4.5 million, making him one of the richest actors in Nigeria.

At the 2010 African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, Nouah won the Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the Best Picture award-winning film, The Figurine.
