Clem Ohameze Early Life

An indigene of Oguta, Imo State, Clem grew up in Port Harcourt where he completed his primary education. He also attended Baptist High School in Port Harcourt and thereafter, Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, where he earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication. He further earned a BSc in Sociology and Anthropology in 1984 from the University of Port Harcourt. He also studied at the Buckingham University, London in 2010 and obtained a Masters in Preventive and Social Medicine.

After graduating from the university, Clem began his professional acting career and performed in several NTA drama series. In 1995, he joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood). He rose to fame in 1998 when starred in the Nollywood blockbuster movie titled, End Time. Some other movies he has since featured iinclude; A Cry for Help, Thanksgiving, My Sister My Love, Billionaires Club, Ije, Emotional Blunder, Oganigwe, Stigma, Child of Pain, Smooth Operator, Knight of the Night, Face of a Murderer, The Faithful Woman, Kingdom of Darkness, Evil Desire, Price of Ignorance, Second Tenure, Butterfly, and Back from Hell. He often plays the role of an occultic man and sometimes, a pastor.

In 2007, Clem joined the political sceence and contested to represent the Ohaji-Egbema-Oguta Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in Nigeria under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). However, he abandoned the pursuit over allegations of a threat to his life. Unfortunately, his car was attacked and his cousin was shot and killed during the incident. 

After the incident, Clem abandoned politics and immediately relocated to the United Kingdom. In 2010, he obtained a Master Degree in Preventive and Social Medicine from Buckingham University of London. After graduating Buckingham University, he returned to Nigeria and featured in the award-winning Nollywood movie “Ije” alongside with Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.
