Chidera Kennedy Ezeh was born on October 2nd, 1997 in Lagos state, Nigeria. He is a professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for FC Porto of Portugal.

Chidera Ezeh Early Life

Ezeh is from a family of four children including three boys and a girl. He is the second child. A devote Roman Catholic, he grew up with a desire to become a priest. However as fate could have it, he joined the River Lane Academy in Enugu after his primary six exams. Starting as a midfielder, he was eventually advised to switch to the striking position by his coach.

Chidera Ezeh Career

Chidera was groomed from the national Under-13 team from where he found his way into the national Under-15 team. He finally blossomed under the watch of Coach Manu Garba in the Golden Eaglets, culminating in winning the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Abu Dhabi. He scored a goal in the semi-final game against Sweden.

After the tournament, Ezeh was courted by numerous European teams. In 2014, he finally signed with FC Porto of Portugal where he joined the B team. In 2016, he joined another Portuguese team, Portimonense on loan, and won the Portuguese second division championship with the club. Portimonense won their last match of the season by beating Santa Clara FC 2-1 to be champions and secure automatic promotion to the top flight.

The 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup winner played for Nigeria at the African U20 championship in Senegal which they won, even though he had an underwhelming outing.

In his free time, the young striker loves to swim, read and enjoy good music. He is close friends with another football star, Kelechi Iheanacho, and the duo are often referred to as "Siamese twins" conjoined by one denominator - football.
