Mobi Patrick Oparaku was born on December 1st, 1976 in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian former footballer who last played as a defender for Enyimba International FC.

Okparaku played for several clubs in Belgium includig R.S.C. Anderlecht (1995), K.V. Turnhout (1995 to 1997) and Royal Capellen FC (1997 to 1999). In 2000, he spent one season with the El Paso Patriots in the USL A-League. In 2001, he played for the Connecticut Wolves. In December 2005 turn back to Nigeria with teammate Rashidi Yekini to Gateway F.C. In 2008, he joined Enyimba FC where he played until his retirement in 2010. He won the FA Cup with Enyimba in 2009.

Oparaku played 6 matches at 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship. For the Nigerian national football team, he was a participant at the 1996 Olympic Games, where Nigeria won the gold medal and at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. He retired from international football in 2003. 

In July 2016, Oparaku was appointed the Heartland FC Team Manager.

In February 2013, Oparaku, was brutalized by about seven armed policemen. The ugly incident played out near 5 Rotibi Street, Owerri, which houses media organizations in the municipality. At the end of the ordeal, Oparaku had a bleeding mouth, a torn T-shirt and myriad of pains emanating from the serious beating he received from the rampaging policemen led by one Inspector of Police, Mr. Ochiang.
