Ice Prince

Panshak Henri Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince was born on October 30, 1986 in in Minna, Niger state to Mr. and Mrs. Nasara Zamani.They  moved to Jos, Plateau State when he was two.

He lost his father when he was 13 and his mother followed soon afterwards.

He was the first and only son out of three children.

He attended St. Murumba College and Science tutorial college in Jos, Plateau State before getting admitted into the University of Jos to study Zoology. He had to leave school in his 100 level to focus on his music because of financial constraints.

Ice Prince Career

Ice Prince is a Rapper, an Actor and a Songwriter. He started writing rap songs and performing them at social events held at his school in 1998. However, it was not until 2001 that Ice Prince began going to studios to record.

In 2002, he got together with a couple of friends and formed a group called the 'Ecomog Squad'. They had few performances as a group before splitting a year later.

In 2004, he connected with M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Eve andTaz, That was about the time MI moved back to Nigeria they became friends and they formed another group 'The Loopy crew' and in thesame year,Ice Prince released his debut single 'Extraordinary' and 'Rewind'. Rewind received radio airplay in Lagos and Abuja. It charted on Rhythm Fm's Top 7, NotJustOk’s “Hype”, Unilag FM, Zain Central Station, Inspiration Fm, Top FM’s “Top of the Morning”, Cosmo FM’s “Top Hits”, Africa Connect Chat Show, and Kiss’ “Top 20 Africa”. It charted at number 1 on Cool FM and Vision FM in Abuja.

 In 2008, he hosted Sprite Triple Slam and within that period, they did 30 shows, 15 in Lagos and 15 in the East.

In 2011, Ice prince released his debut studio album,' Everybody Loves Ice Prince'. It was supported by the singles 'Oleku', 'Superstar', 'Juju' and 'Magician'. He rose to fame after releasing  this ablbum and Oleku became one of Nigeria's most remixed songs of all time. 

In 2013, Ice Prince released Fire of Zamani as his second studio album. The album contained the singles 'Aboki',  'More', 'Gimme Dat' and 'I Swear' and in 2015, he also released another album, 'rash Can EP'.

Ice Prince has a record deal with Chocolate City which came out of his affiliation with MI and Jesse Jagz. Ice Prince has been greatly influenced by musicians like Notorious B.I.G, Rakim, Jay Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Lauryn Hill, M.I. and Jesse Jagz.

He is currently the vice chairman of Chocolate City, the record Label he's signed on to.

Apart from singing, Ice Prince has featured in Tv shows such as 'House of Gold' where he played 'Tony'. He also made a guest appearance in Season 3 of the web series “Shuga”.
