Solid Star - Joshua Iniyezo

Joshua Iniyezo (popularly known as Solid Star) was born in Delta state, Nigeria. He hails from Aviara in Isoko South local government area of Delta state. He is a hip hop, R&B, dancehall and afro-pop singer, producer, songwriter and performer.

After he was born in Delta, Joshua and his parents, Mr. and Mrs Iniyezo, moved to Lagos where he grew up and had his education. The artist grew up loving music and soon began playing the drumset at his grandmother's church. This was at age 8. 

While growing up in Ajegunle, Lagos, he attended Goriola Primary and later on, Oshodi Secondary School, Tolu complex, Olodi Apapa. He was discovered a few years later at a music talent show in Ajegunle where he was introduced to Paul Cole a record label boss.

In 2010, Solid Star signed a record deal with Achievas Record, which is one of the most respected and biggest music labels in Nigeria. His first studio album was released under the imprint of the record label (Achievas Record). Enhanced CD+2videos+Wallpapers+Ringtone, it is a 14-tracker featuring some of Nigeria’s finest producers and artistes, the likes of 2-Face Idibia, W4, Ill Bliss, Clever Jay, Cartiair, Jacuzi and a very young African-American rapper, Breeze who is also signed to the Achievas Records.

The music video of his hit track, One in a Million, featuring the legendary Tuface Idibia, was massively accepted by fans and it enjoyed massive airplay on radio and television stations nationwide. It was recorded that the video was number one for three weeks on Trace TV top 10 for Africa which is very overwhelming. SolidStar’s latest single titled Emergency is currently enjoying massive airplay on both satellite TV and local TV Stations.

SolidStar has performed alongside other well known musicians like Naeto C, teenage prodigy, Wizkid, Chocolate City rappers Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz, Skales, Djinee, Kas and YQ. He has also worked with singers and rappers like Ill Bliss,Tiwa Savage Cartiair, W4, Buchwyla, Clever Jay, B Klin, Jakuzi, and Ojay aka Ojo among others. He has a mega endorsement deal with NFSC.

Solid Star is not married, however, he has a son from a past relationship. The artist who has about 12 tattoos on his body is also a big lover of video games.
