Maazi Okoroji Oti was born in Ujari, a village in Arochukwu, Abia State, Nigeria. He lived around the 17th century and is known for building the Okoroji House Museum or Okoroji House in Ujari.

Oti was a local slave and merchant and chief. He was into slave trade during the trans-Atlantic slave trade. The Okoroji House which he built was made from mud and had an aluminum zinc. Its interior showcased all kinds of sacred shrine objects, historical artifacts, slave chains, brass manilas, swords and guns. Several years later, the National Commission for Museums and Monuments declared it a monument in 1972. Oti was also a traditionalist and 'juju' king.

His influence on the people of Ujari was so felt that about four hundred people were said to have been sacrificed to Ibini Ukpabi, the head oracle, after his death.
