Hon Isah grew up in his home town of Kankara, Katsina State. He attended Government Secondary School in Kankara. In 1995 he sat for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). In 2010 he obtained a diploma from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria, Kaduna State.

Hon Isah worked as a depot representative with G.S Nigeria Limited in Kano. He also worked as an operation manager at Bee Oil & Investment.
In 2015, he contested and won the seat to represent Kankara/Sabuwa/Faskari Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He is a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC). His legislative interests include fighting corruption and enhancing development in Nigeria.
