Victor Moses is a Nigerian professional footballer, who currently plies his trade with London based club Chelsea FC. He plays either as a winger or  a fullback.

Moses was born on December 12, 1990  in  Lagos, Nigeria to Pastor Austine Moses and Josephine Moses. His parents were missionaries who lived in Kaduna State, Nigeria. However in 2002, during a  Muslim and Christian riots in Kaduna State, his parents were murdered by Muslim youths. Victor Moses was just 11years at the time of the incident and he had gone to play football with his peers in the town.

After the traumatic incident, he emigrated to and sought asylum in the United Kingdom where he was under the custody of his uncle in London.

He attended Stanley Technical High School (now known as the Harris Academy) in South Norwood, and continued playing and developing his passion for football.

He was scouted playing football in the local Tandridge League for Cosmos 90 FC and was approached by Crystal Palace  football club whose Selhurst Park stadium is  just streets away from his school.

Offered a place in the Eagles' academy, Palace recommended him to the fee-paying Whitgift School in Croydon, where former Arsenal and Chelsea star Colin Pates was coaching the school football team.

Moses first came to prominence at 14 after scoring 50 goals for Palace's under-14s side. Playing for three years at both Whitgift and Palace, Moses scored over 100 goals as well as helping Whitgift win many School Cups, including a National Cup where Moses scored all five goals in the final against Healing School of Grimsby at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester.

Victor Moses played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010 scoring 11 goals for England during this period.

Moses began his career in the Championship with Crystal Palace, before his performances caught the eye of Wigan Athletic, where he made his Premier League debut in 2010.

After two years, his game had improved to the extent that European champions Chelsea were interested, and he signed for them in the summer of 2012. Despite ten goals in all competitions during his first season, he spent his second season on loan to Liverpool, his third on loan at Stoke City and his fourth on loan at West Ham United.

After his loan stint with West Ham United Moses returned to Chelsea for the 2016/2017 season and made a great impression on Antonio Conte Chelsea's new manager, in the preseasons. He went on to play a big role in the 2016/2017 campaign which saw Chelsea crowned the League Champions that season. Moses established himself as a marauding right wing-back in Chelsea's  first choice team under Antonio Conte.

Despite representing England in junior international football, Moses shifted his allegiance to Nigeria for his senior inernational duties. He contributed to the 2013 victory of the Nigerian Super Eagles at the African Nations Cup where the were crowned the African Champions after beating Burkina Faso at the finals.

Victor Moses played a crucial role in the qualification of Nigeria to the 2018 FiFA World Cup in Russia, contributing a number of crucial goals.

Victor Moses is married and blessed with two children. The first, Bentley Moses was born in September 2012, while his daughter, Nyah Moses  was born  February 2015.

He grew up a fan of Arsenal Football Club.

Victor Moses Awards

Moses won the 2016/2017 Premier League with Chelsea as well as the Europa League.

He has also won the African Nations Cup with Nigeria in 2013.

Individually, he has recieved numerous awards and recognitions, including PFA Player of the Month Awards and Man of the Match Awards.

He received the Nigerian Best Player Award for 2017 and was nominated for the African Player of the Year 2017 awards.
