Sadau grew up in Kaduna with her siblings, Zainab Sadau, Fatima Sadau, Haruna Sadau, and Aisha Sadau. She is a Business Administration graduate of Kaduna Polytechnic.


Rahama Sadau Career

Sadau joined the Hausa movie industry in 2013 and made her Nollywood debut in a new TV drama series titled, “Sons of the Caliphate." The 13-part drama series is produced by Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV. She gained fame after her role in the movie “Gani Ga Wane” alongside the popular Kannywood star Ali Nuhu. In October 2016, the actress honoured Akon and Jeta Amata's invitation to Los Angeles to observe the making of their new film "The American King." During her stay in Los Angeles, the actress paid a visit to Relativity School and attended the world premiere of the movie "Road to Redemption" which held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Raleigh picture studios in Los Angeles, alongside Akon. Fluent in English, Hausa and Hindi, she has featured in Nollywood productions including "Hakunde," "Ajuwaya," "Sons of the Caliphate."

Sadau participates in charity and humanitarian work through her charity organization ''Ray of Hope'', which she launched in 2016. In October 2016, Sadau was expelled by the regulators of the Kannywood film industry, the Motion Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN). for featuring in a romantic music video by Jos born singer, ClassiQ. Her appearance in the music album by a musician “Classique,” was said to have been immoral and against the ethics of the Hausa film industry. However, in January 2018, the ban was lifted by Kaduna state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje. She had earlier written an apology letter to the state government and the Kano Emirate Council as well as (MOPPAN), expressing regrets for her action.

A devote Muslim, Rahama is currently studying Human Resource Management at school of Business and Finance of Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.

In December 2016, FC Porto Nigerian forward Musa Yahaya reacted angrily to reports that he got married to Sadau. ”I got married to Saadatu Ismail Yahaya, not to Rahama Sadau, my wife is not into movies. It’s not fair on Rahama neither is it on my wife as well. Please people should confirm properly before going to press”, Yahaya angrily said.

In 2017, Sadau revealed she will not quit acting for marriage in a chat with popular journalist Morakinyo Olugbiji. She said, "No, no, no! I won’t do that. I can’t quit acting for marriage."
