Kate Henshaw-Nuttall (known as Kate Henshaw) was born in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria on July 19th, 1971. She is a famous Nollywood actress, model, television personality, and entrepreneur.

Kate Henshaw Early Life

The eldest of four Children, Kate had her primary and secondary education in Cross River State. She spent a single year at the University of Calabar studying Remedial Studies, and then to Lagos University Teaching Hospital where she bagged a degree in Medical Microbiology. She then put her degree to use at the Bauchi State General hospital before forsaking that career and pursuing one in Nollywood.

Kate's Passion for acting led her to abandon her job as a Microbiologist and to apply for auditioning, in 1993, she invited for an audition where she was accepted and was handed a role in  a movie called When the Sun Sets, this happened to be her first role in a Nollywood movie which opened door for a rather successful Nigerian Movie career as she has been involved in many Nigerian Movies, among which are New Horizons, The Meeting, Broken Tears (1 &2), River of Tear, Dorothy,  A Brighter Sun (1&2), One Life (1 &2), Show Me Heaven (1&2), You Broke My Heart (1&2), Ghetto Love, Domitilla, Silent Night (1&2), I Need My Husband, etc. She has been then, a house hold name in Nollywood. 

She is an ambassador for seasoning brand, Onga, as well as being a judge on reality TV show, Nigeria's Got Talent, which is part of the Got Talent franchise. It was launched in 2012 on television stations AIT and NTA. In 2015, the veteran Nollywood actress was appointed by the Governor of  Cross River State, Ben Ayade, as Special Adviser, Liaison, Lagos.

 

Kate Henshaw Personal Life

In the year 2000, the actress married Rob Nuttal and they together have a child, Gabriella. In 2011, reports emerged that the couple have separated. It was later established that the couple have indeed finalised their divorce. Kate later spoke about having experienced violence in a relationship, apparently referring to her time in marriage with Rob.
