Olutoyin Aimakhu-Abraham was born on September 5th, 1984 in Auchi, Etsako west local government area of Edo state, Nigeria, to Pastor B. E. Aimakhu. She is a Nigerian Actress, singer, film-maker, producer and director.

Toyin is the youngest of five children in her family. Even though they were not rich, she generally describes her childhood as very healthy, funny and busy. Her parents were into various farming activities, but their main vocation lay in religion. Her mother is a pastor and her father worked for Ibru organization, but retired when Toyin was a child. Now he helps his wife with church related programs.

Toyin spent her earky life in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in southwestern Nigeria where she was a pupil at St. Annes school. In those days, she learned to play drums, football and handball. She performed very well in sports that she became a member of the state team. She obatined two diplomas in marketing from polytechnic institutions in Osun state and Oyo state. She also acquired a Bachelor's degree in Philosophical Sciences from Olabisi Onabanjo University.

Toyin began her acting career in 2003 when another Nigerian film star, Bukky Wright, arrived at Ibadan to shoot a movie. Initially, she played small background roles, but soon rose to becoming a well recognized actress taking on lead roles. She also featured more in Yoruba movies like Ebimi ni and Alani Baba Labake. The actress got married on July 8th, 2013 to Adeniyi Johnson, who is also an actor. They met each in the course of acting and soon became friends. In one of her interviews, Toyin mentioned that it took some time before she and Adeniyi got closer. On December 31st, 2012, Adeniyi asked her to marry him, and they had their wedding the following year.

Toyin and Adeniyi’s marriage did not last long; 2 years after their wedding, the public got hit with shocking news reports that the celebrity couple were separated. According to the published information, this was due to infidelity on her husband's part.

For Toyin Aimakhu, her failed marriage to actor, Adeniyi Johnson broke the Internet a few years ago and since then they have gone back and forth on who was responsible for the collapse of the marriage.
