Paulker attended Bishop Dimeari Grammar School where he earned his WASC in 1973. He obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt in 1983.

Emmanuel Paulker Career

Emmanuel Caulker is a teacher by profession but made his way into politics, when he was appointed Bayelsa State Commissioner of Lands and Housing (1999-2001).

He was elected in the 2007 general elections to represent Bayelsa Central at the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. He was subsequently appointed to committees on Industry, Finance and Downstream Petroleum.

Paulker was among a group of ten Senators who got into trouble in May 2009 over a trip to Ghana where they were said to have been lavishly entertained by oil company executives.

Senator Paulker Emmanuel(CON) got elected as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) to represent Bayelsa Central Senatorial District.

He was again re-elected as a Senator in the 2015 senatorial elections.

In September 2015,Senator Paulker Emmanuel, sought to contest the 2015 Bayelsa state gubernatorial elections but was disqualified under controversial circumstances. He was disqualified from the governorship race because some members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) attended his thanksgiving service.

Senator Emmanuel Paulker is married.

In February 2010 three gunmen abducted his mother, Florentina Paulker, from her home in the Opolo area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. After the 73-year-old woman had spent eight days in captivity, she was released after a bloody shoot out with her kidnappers, one of whom died.
