Ope Banwo Early Life

Born to Mr. Omotayo Odukoya Banwo and Mrs. Comfort Adedoja Banwo, Ope grew up in the South-Western part of Nigeria. He attnded Ijebu Ode Grammar School in Ogun State. After that, he studied Jurisprudence at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State. He thereafter, received his Master's at University of Lagos. He also received a PH.D in Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1986, the New York Bar in 1997 and the Nebraska Federal District Court in 1997.

Banwo began his career in the corporate world as a Management Trainee with Arthur Anderson and Co in 1989 and swiftly rose to become CEO of a PLC company within 4 years thereafter. As a Business executive, he has served at the highest corporate levels for more than 25 years. Apart from operating at top levels of Corporate Nigeria as CEO of several companies in Nigeria including a PLC by the time he was only 25 years old, Dr. Banwo also spent about 17 years in the United States of America as CEO of several companies and Managing Partner of Banwo and Igbokwe Law Offices before relocating back to Nigeria in 2009 to start the Banwo Group of companies comprising of a Law office, Finance Company, Record Label And Entertainment company, Afrinet Business Solutions And American Internet Business School.

As a solutions provider and business consultant, Ope has provided cutting edge solutions to several industries including Law, Internet Marketing, Entertainment, and Network Marketing. He is the originator of several initiatives in the entertainment industry including the Fan book Concept, Celebrity Books and different approaches to marketing and distribution. As the Pioneer CEO of Dove Media in 2005-2007, he was the first to introduce media distribution through Fast Food Outlets and Post offices in Nigeria among many others. 

He is currently CEO of Afrinet Business Solutions INC, a company helping businesses maximize their businesses, profits and brand promotion on the internet. Africa expand their Internet presence into the world while also helping foreign companies achieve profitable relationships with African businesses. In 2015, he founded the American Internet Business School, which is the first dedicated Internet Business Training Certification School in Africa. He is currently the Vice Chancellor of the School. Also in 2015, he co-founded an NGO, Change Vigilantes International, which is dedicated to holding public office holders in Nigeria accountable for their election promises.

Dr. Banwo has written many published books on different topics over the years including bestsellers such as The Kingdompreneur, Overcoming the Gideon Complex, The Kingdom Citizen, Social Media Genesis, African Internet Business manifesto, Confessions Of A Guru Wannabe, The Income Angel, Digital Marketing Without Tears, The Return of The Prodigal and Blessings of Adversity. He has presented different position papers and acted as a resource person at many business seminars, workshops and conferences over the last 24 years.

Dr. Banwo got married to Olunike Ajoke Olunloyo on February 20th, 1992, and they blessed with four children including; Femi Banwo, Tope Banwo and Michael Banwo. He has Law Offices in New York, Nebraska USA and Nigeria.
