Teniola is the eldest of seven children, born in London and then brought to Nigeria to school in 1977 to 1982. He completed his O’ Levels at that time.  He obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Thereafter, he attended London South Bank University where he received a Bachelor of Engineering with honors in Computer and Information Engineering. He also obtained an MBA in 2003 from the University of Bath School of Management.

Teniola worked with a number of technology companies during the 90’s and then joined Cisco in 2000 and proceeded to have his MBA (MBath UK) in General Management in year 2002. He ran his first telecom company in 2004 in Portugal and returned to Nigeria in 2009 after being awarded an ISP license in 2005. Since his return, he has had the opportunity to run two telecom companies in Nigeria.

A computer and information engineer with an exclusive pedigree, Teniola's exceptional skill fetched him big roles in institutions like British Telecoms and Alcatel-Lucent Technology, the Chief Executive Officer of Internet Solutions Nigeria, a Pan-African Information Communication Technology (ICT) firm that has earned high-profile deals in private and public companies in Nigeria and overseas. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD) London. He was previously the COO and Director of Engineering at Phase 3 Telecom, Abuja.

In May 2016, Teniola emerged the new national president of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON). ATCON is a professional, non-profit, non-political umbrella organization of telecommunications companies of Nigeria. The body aims at bringing together under one umbrella all companies in the field of telecommunications and auxiliary services for the purposes of sharing industry information, networking, associating and otherwise enhancing the stature and relevance of the telecommunications industry. Teniola was until his election the first vice president of ATCON.

Teniola is married and has children. Although Teniola is based in Lagos, Nigeria, his dad, siblings, and a number of cousins and friends live in London. He loves to play tennis, squash, and golf and spend time with his family whenever possible.
