Ekiti West

Ekiti west local government area is in Ekiti state, Southwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Aramoko. Several towns and villages make up Ekiti West LGA and these include Aramoko, Erinijiyan, Okemesi, Isokowa, Egede, Orokuta, Osemo, and Kajola. The Eiti west LGA is bordered by Ekiti east, Ekiti southwest, Ijero, and Ifelodun LGAs. The estimated population of Ekiti west LGA is 139,509 inhabitants with the most populous tribe being the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba language is extensively spoken in the area while the religion of Christianity is the widely practiced in the Ekiti west LGA.

Ekiti west LGA is majorly an Agrarian community with crops such as cocoa, plantain, and pepper grown in the area. The area also has a booming trade sector with the several markets in the LGA providing platforms for the buying and selling of a wide variety of commodities. Other important economic enterprises in Ekiti west LGA include blacksmithing and tetile weaving and dyeing.
