Darazo local government area is found in Bauchi state, Northeast Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Darazo. The LGA comprises several towns and villages which include Jimbim, Gabarin, Lago, Yautare, Tauya, Wahu, Gabchiyari and Sade. The population of Darazo LGA is put at 159,444 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Hausa ethnic group. The commonly spoken languages in Darazo LGA include Hausa and the Zumbum languages while Islam and Christianity are the widely practiced religions in the area.
