Ondo west local government area is domiciled in Ondo state, South-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA residing in the town of Ondo. The LGA is in a cosmopolitan area and is made up of several districts which include Ayesanmi, Mobayode, Sasere, Lugbogi, Gbokufa, Ironsi, Lapawe, Itagbogi, and Enuewa. The current estimated population of Ondo west LGA is put at 241,605 inhabitants with the area mostly populated by members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba and English languages are commonly spoken in Ondo west LGA with the religions of Christianity and Islam as the widely practiced in the area.
