Bunza

Bunza local government area is located in Kebbi state, Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The LGA shares borders with Kalgo, Dandi, Arewa, and Suru LGAs with the headquarters of the area residing in the town of Bunza. Bunza LGA comprises several towns and villages which include Raha, Zogirma, Dangaladima, Gwade, Bunza, Modomawa, Sabon Birni, and Matseri. The population of Bunza LGA is put at 162,085 inhabitants with the most populous tribes being the Hausa and the Fulani. The Hausa and Fufulde languages are spoken widely in the area while Islam is the commonly practiced religion in the area.

Bunza local government area covers a total area of 876 km squared and witnesses two major seasons which are the dry and the rainy seasons. The average temperature of Bunza is 33 degrees centigrade with humidity of the area put at 17 percent.

A lot of crops are cultivated in Bunza local government area and these include groundnut, rice, millet, sorghum, and onions. Other important economic activities in Bunza local government area include hunting, commerce and metal work.
