Orumba south local government area is situated in Anambra state, South-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Umunze. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages which include Nawfija, Alaohia, Uhala, Umuomaku, Ezira, Nkerehi, Agbudu, and Ogbunka. The estimated population of Orumba south LGA is put at 183,447 inhabitants with the LGA mostly populated by members of the Igbo ethnic group.
