Jere local government area is located in Borno state, North-east Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA in the town of Khaddamari. The LGA is part of the illustrious Borno Emirate and comprises of towns and villages such as Lawanti, Dusuman, Gamboru, Ngudda, Tuba, Gongulong, Koshebe, and Masu. The estimated population of Jere LGA is put at 171, 039 inhabitants with the area hosting members of diverse ethnic groups such as the Kanuri, Hausa, and the Fulani.
