Dutsi

Dutsi local government area is found in Katsina state, Northwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Dutsi. The LGA comprises of several towns and villages which include Shargalle, Dogon-Hawa, Wagana, and Dutsi. The population of Dutsi LGA is estimated at 138,912 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Fulani and Hausa ethnic divisions. Ilam is the most practiced religion in Dutsi LGA while the Fufulde and Hausa languages are spoken extensively in the area. Popular landmarks in Dutsi LGA include the Women Center Hall.

Dutsi LGA is home to several markets which include the Dutsi Main Market which attracts thousands of buyers and sellers from within and around the LGA.
