The LGA shares boundaries with the Ogbomoso South, Orire, and Surulere LGAs. Towns and villages that make up Ogbomoso North LGA include Ogunsowo, Akankan, Kinnira, Apatere, and Sagbe. The current estimated population of Ogbomoso North LGA is put at 210,547 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s populace made up of members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are widely practiced in the area.
