Oyo West

Oyo west local government area is found in Oyo state, South-west geopolitical enclave of Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA residing in the town of Ojongbodu. Oyo west LGA is comprises of several towns, districts, and villages such as Iseeke titun, Jaremily, Cele, Oke oroki, Owode, Ogbomoso road, Iya Ibaji, and Pakoyi. The current estimated population of Oyo west LGA is put at 294,812 inhabitants with the area primarily populated by members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are extensively practiced in the area.  Notable landmarks in the LGA include the Morlap farms.

Oyo west LGA has a vibrant trade sector with the area hosting several markets such as the Iseke market which attracts hundreds of buyers and sellers of diverse commodities. Farming is also an important economic activity in Oyo west LGA with crops such as cocoa, kolanut, millet, and plantain grown in the LGA. The LGA is also known for tie and dye and craftsmanship.
